Leaf Peepin'(?) and a Picnic at World's End State Park

Read More... Overview: Join ride leader, Bill (and June) for hopefully a start to some leaf peepin' in Central Pa., as well as, a picnic in the park. This ride will begin with some highway riding up I-81 North to the 901 West exit. First stop will be at the Sheetz in Elysburg. If you don't pack your lunch, this will be your only chance to purchase something before we arrive at World's End State Park. The plan is to eat our lunch at picnic tables beside the stream. Bathroom facilities are here, as well, along with a small concession stand, that is not consistent with its hours. Leaving the park, we will travel north and west on state routes and country roads to our next stop in Liberty. From there, we'll continue west to state route 44, where we will start home. And the infamous ice cream stop will be at Weaver's Ice Cream & Pizza in Allenwood. We hope to arrive back in Harrisburg before 6 o'clock - it all depends on how long we enjoy our stops.
